Fidlock Hip Belt with Double Bottle Base
Designed for Mountain bikers in mind, the Fidlock Hip Belt with Double Bottle Base allows you to carry extra things with you on the trail and hold two Fidlock TWIST Bottles. This bag is loaded with storage compartments and a secret Hermetic dry bag.
Each Hip Belt comes with a Twist 450 Bottle in Smoke. Make sure to add a TWIST Bike Base so you can use your new bottle on your bike too.
Fidlock is known for their patented magnetic fasteners, and the Fidlock Hip Belt has no shortage of them. The Hip Belt adjustable hip strap belt has a Fidlock magnetic closure system. Across the main compartment are two adjustable straps with magnetic closures. There are two magnetic bottle bases for the Fidlock Twist bottles. And there is a magnetic self-sealing closure on the Hermetic Dry Bag.
All these fasteners are designed for quick and easy operation with the opening and closing to happen in seconds. And a key feature is that they work even when wearing gloves.
The main compartment of the bag has 2.5 L of storage and has a few pockets on the back side of the bag to help keep items organized. Additionally, there is a small leash with a hook, to secure your keys.
As mentioned above, there are two adjust straps on the exterior of the main compartment, these straps can be tightened down to compress the storage compartment or be extended outward to carry some items externally (see picture below). Underneath the main storage compartment are two elastic straps to help support the items in the main compartment.
The main compartment of the Fidlock Hip Belt is opened/closed by a dual zipper system. The zippers allow for easy access and full accessibility to the main storage compartment.
On the outside of the bag there are two strips of reflective material. This nice little feature will help you be seen at night by cars.
Behind the main storage compartment is the “secret” Fidlock Hermetic Dry bag. This waterproof bag is great for storing small water sensitive items, like a phone or papers. Trail conditions can vary widely and having this compartment can save phone when things get wet.
The dry bag is an independent storage compartment from the main storage compartment. It is accessed from the exterior of the bag and sits between the belt padding and the main storage compartment.
On the sides of the Fidlock Hip Belt are two additional storage compartments. On the left side is a flat stretchy compartment. This one doesn’t really lock down but could be good for bigger items that will be held in by the elasticity of the compartment. This pocket could be good for holding gels.
On the opposite side is a small compartment with a zipper closure. The compartment isn’t stretchable but is good for storing lose items that you want quick access to.
The Fidlock Hip Belt has raised padding that wraps around the back of the bag. On the sides there is a padded mesh. Both are designed to help keep you cool while wearing it. The Hip Belt has two buckles and allows for adjustability on each side.
The Fidlock Hip Belt is very easy to use. I really like the ability to carry a couple of water bottles on the belt. The dry bag is a great feature and has saved my phone from getting wet a few times.
The Fidlock Hip Belt will fit hip circumferences from 76-140 cm (30-55 in) and the bag is about 500 g (1.1 lb).
Though this bag is designed for mountain biking, it has been great for hiking, walking, and kayaking. I have used the external straps to carry a small tripod and the storage compartment easily fits a DJI min drone.
Don’t want such a large bag but want the dry bag and bottle carrying ability check out the Fidlock Hip Belt + Single Bottle Base.
Just need some Hermetic Dry Bags or a Sling Bag check out their entire line up.
